Target Group (Staff Levels):

Staff whose organisation is represented on the Dudley Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) or in a Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team.

The target audience is staff levels 2-3 (in accordance with the Dudley Safeguarding Adults Board) Safeguarding Strategy 2018-19.

 

Aim:

To provide an overview of the need to develop best multi-agency practice and to promote person centred approach to safeguarding adults. Also to use practice experience of the group to identify and explore practice issues and identify actions to improve multi-agency, person centred practice.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • To understand your role/agencies roles in safeguarding adults
  • To gain knowledge of the main changes for safeguarding adults within the Care Act 2014
  • To understand the key changes in the revised West Midlands Procedures
  • To use case scenarios to embed a multi-agency and person-centred approach to practice
