WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
All staff with responsibility for safeguarding children, including education, health, residential, foster carers and youth workers who engage with and care for children and young people.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- To understand the definition of domestic abuse, to recognise that it is pattern of behaviour and to recognise the range of the types of abuse it encompasses
- To understand the specific issues teenagers face in abusive relationships
- To understand the risks faced by teenagers in abusive relationships
- To know how and where to safeguarding young people in abusive relationships through the use of the DASH - RIC
