Detail:

Objective: To raise awareness of the different types of abuse regarding adults with care and support needs can experience, who abuses, where abuse can take place and to offer support and guidance for making Safeguarding Adult Referrals.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explore the key definitions and terminology surrounding safeguarding adults.
  • Explore the different types of adult abuse as defined in the Care Act 2014
  • Know how to raise a concern in Dudley if you  are concerned that an adult is at risk of abuse and harm.
  • Understand what is required in a Safeguarding Referral

This course is aimed at: 

All staff and volunteers who have contact with adults with care and support needs.

 

This is a level 2 (Safeguarding Professionals) course
